2026 Signature Summit Recap: A Day Focused on Building What Matters

Building Our Tech’s (BOT) Signature Summit brought together a vibrant mix of builders, creatives, and professionals actively shaping the future of tech. During the summit, ideas turned into action, connections turned into opportunities, and confidence took center stage. If you weren’t in the room on Saturday, April 11, 2026, you missed the collaboration, the creatives, and the confidence, but don’t worry, we'll take you through the day and ensure you’re prepared for the next one!

Creative and Impactful Sessions

From the start of Signature, attendees dove into powerful conversations designed to meet them exactly where they are. Industry professionals provided valuable insights for building a personal brand with confidence and clarity. Whether launching a personal brand, growing a business, or scaling within their careers, attendees were surrounded by resources to help them reach the next level.

We explored what it truly means to build an inspiring brand, where social impact strategist Knakeesha Samuels shared strategies that drive impact. The session included key ways to move people, with an emphasis on creating content that resonates. Attendees learned how authenticity, clarity, and consistency create brands and events that convert.

In our Hiring Creatives session, Janet Randolph and David Yarde covered the idea-to-execution gap, which most projects fail to address. The conversation went beyond resumes, emphasizing alignment, communication, and the development of creative partnerships. Janet and David broke down key components to include in your creative briefs and how to clarify scope from the start. This guide equipped attendees with the right information and tools to collaborate and hire a creative for a project efficiently.

Efficiency took the spotlight during the Run Your Brand without Burnout session led by Executive Director Safia Porter. Safia covered 3 Layers to let you run your brand without burnout. Her insights included how to maximize efficiency in creating content, which tech & tools to use, and how to protect your time and energy. Attendees learned how to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and create sustainable growth using the right tools.

Our interactive session on designing professional graphics using Canva AI was led by Nicole Perpillant, COO of Design Theory, LLC. Nicole’s Canva workshop proved that you don’t need to be a full-time designer to create visuals that command attention and elevate your brand. Using programs like Claude and Canva AI, you can customize your designs and add business context. Attendees learned how to make graphics in their campaigns more intentional and effective.

A Community Experience

What made the summit truly special wasn’t just the content and workshops; it was the connection and community that also shone throughout Signature. Attendees built meaningful relationships with others in the local community, exchanging ideas, collaborating in real time, and expanding their networks in an environment designed to be welcoming, empowering, and creative.

Our professional headshot experience gave attendees a chance to refresh their digital presence, and the interactive runway brought out the confidence.

Attendees stepped forward, owned their stories, and were met with encouragement every step of the way. It was a reminder that confidence is something you practice. The energy was undeniable from the moment the doors opened.
